Our Classes

We offer classes for Twos, Threes, and Pre-K students – class placement is based on the child’s age as of August 31. Children do not have to be toilet trained to enroll. As part of the co-op program, parents will take turns working in the classroom. A family can expect to work usually three times a month per child enrolled.

Families with more than one child enrolled, or with a child enrolled in more than one class, pay only one set of Bates fees – those that correspond to the class with the most days. There is also a tuition discount of 20% for additional children enrolled beyond the first.

Our 2's Class is designed to provide a gentle introduction to the preschool experience for toddlers and their families. This class focuses on creating a safe and nurturing environment where young children can explore the world around them through sensory activities, music, art, and imaginative play. Children will begin to develop foundational skills such as sharing, following simple instructions, and engaging with peers, all while supported by attentive teachers and active parent participation. This class offers a wonderful opportunity for children to build confidence and feel secure in a group setting, laying the groundwork for future learning and socialization.

In the 3's Class, children take their first steps toward greater independence while continuing to explore the world through hands-on activities and play. This class emphasizes developing key skills like cooperation, communication, and problem-solving in a supportive and engaging environment. Teachers introduce early academic concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers, and letters through interactive games, storytelling, and creative projects. Social-emotional development is a key focus, helping children navigate friendships, manage emotions, and build self-confidence. By fostering curiosity and creativity, the 3's Class sets the stage for a lifelong love of learning.
