Teacher Jessica

Hello everyone, I am Teacher Jessica. I am married to Mr. Kevin and together we have two adult children, Steven and Jack. This school year we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. In my non-working hours, I enjoy spending time at the ocean, camping, reading and photography. I also serve within the toddler program at my church.

My journey with Narrows Co-op began in 2007-2008 when I was hired on as the 3's and Prek teacher. During those early teaching years, I found that my true passion was that of an early childhood educator. Around 2010, I received my certification in child studies (CDA) through the National Credentialing Program. Wanting to further educate myself, I began studies with Bates Technical College in 2018 and in 2022 graduated with an Associates of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I have loved the philosophy of co-op preschool since I myself was a parent with my children's preschool. During that six year time, I also served on their preschools board as a class representative and co-president. There is a joy in knowing that children are learning and gaining social and emotional skills and support prior to their "academic" careers. Providing support to those studies showing children do learn "academics" through active engagement and play with adults and peers within their lives is an honor. I am very excited to meet all of our new families and catch up on those returning.
